尼龙是主要的工程塑料之一,在五大通用工程塑料中产量居首位,其中,PA66、PA6产量大、应用广泛,大约占尼龙总消费量的90%以上,PA66是由等摩尔量的己二酸和己二胺缩聚而得的,PA6是由单体己内酰胺经过开环聚合反应得到的,PA66和PA6均含有极性的酰胺键,分子链间可以形成氢键,并容易使得分子发生取向,具有较高的结晶性和优异的力学性能,PA56是由生物基戊二胺和石油基己二酸聚合而成的一种新型生物基聚酰胺。2017年国内自主开发出了的生物基戊二胺以及PA5X系列,单体戊二胺是以淀粉、甘蔗、秸秆等农作物原料通过发酵生产氨基酸,然后经过酶转化得到戊二胺,生物基戊二胺与不同链长的二元酸搭配,生产出全系列的生物基聚酰胺,包括低熔点的长链聚酰胺、中熔点的常规聚酰胺和高温聚酰胺。由于生物基戊二胺的奇数碳链特性,赋予了PA5X系列聚酰胺优良的性能,如良好的自熄性、流动性以及高韧性和高耐磨性等。
PA56与PA66、PA6的分子结构相似,分子主链由酰胺键连接了若干重复单元,分子链末端为羧基和氨基,PA66属于偶偶型碳原子排列,分子链呈现中心对称,其分子链反平行和平行排布是等效的,其酰胺基团之间形成氢键密度较高,而PA56属于奇偶型碳原子排列,分子链非中心对称,酰胺基团之间形成氢键的概率大大降低。
