Long term high heat condition shall be avoided to reduce thechance of material degradation. A relatively small increase inscrew RPM will result in a large increase in melt temperature,while the control setting does not change. It is recommended to usea hand-held pyrometer to measure the melt temperature. Thismeasurement shall be performed on the thermoplastic melt after themachine has started cycling. The control of mold temperature isvery important, so it must be checked regularly. Mold temperaturehas a great influence on the following parameters: surfaceappearance, size, shrinkage, warpage, crystallization speed,molding stress, and thermal behavior of injection molded parts.
