physical characteristics

PC is a kind of non crystal engineering material, which hasexcellent impact strength, thermal stability, glossiness,antibacterial properties, flame retardant properties and antipollution properties. The notched Izod impact strength of PC isvery high, and the shrinkage is very low, generally 0.1% ~0.2%.

chemical properties 

PC has good mechanical properties, but poor flowcharacteristics, so the injection process of this material isdifficult. When choosing the quality of PC material, we should takethe final expectation of the product as the benchmark. If highimpact resistance is required for plastic parts, PC materials withlow flow rate should be used; On the contrary, PC materials withhigh flow rate can be used to optimize the injection process.

PC plastic raw material is a new type of thermoplastic,transparent degree of 90%, known as transparent metal. It is rigidand tough, with high impact strength, high dimensional stabilityand wide range of temperature, good electrical insulation, heatresistance and non-toxic, and can be molded by injection andextrusion. PC plastic has excellent thermal properties, can be usedfor a long time between - 100 ℃ and 130 ℃, and its embrittlementtemperature is below - 100 ℃.

Although polycarbonate has poor crack resistance and drugresistance, easy hydrolysis at high temperature, poor compatibilitywith other resins and poor lubrication performance, it can bemodified by adding other resins or inorganic fillers to obtain veryexcellent performance.

Scope of application

Optical lighting: it is used to manufacture large lampshade,protective glass, left and right eyepiece tube of opticalinstrument, etc. it can also be widely used in transparentmaterials of aircraft.

Electronic and electrical appliances: polycarbonate is anexcellent E (120 ℃) grade insulating material, which is used tomanufacture insulating connector, coil frame, tube socket,insulating sleeve, telephone shell and parts, battery shell ofminer's lamp, etc. It can also be used to make parts with highdimensional accuracy, such as CD-ROM, telephone, electroniccomputer, video recorder, telephone exchanger, signal relay andother communication equipment. Polycarbonate thin film is alsowidely used as capacitor, insulating leather bag, audio tape, colorvideo tape, etc.

Mechanical equipment: used for manufacturing all kinds of gears,racks, worm gears, worms, bearings, cams, bolts, levers,crankshafts, ratchets, as well as some mechanical parts such asshields, covers and frames.

Medical equipment: can be used for medical purposes cup, tube,bottle and dental instruments, drug containers and surgicalinstruments, and even can be used as artificial kidney, artificiallung and other artificial organs.
