LCP应用:
作为集成电路封装材料、
代替环氧树脂作线圈骨架的封装材料;
作光纤电缆接头护套和高强度元件;
代替陶瓷作化工用分离塔中的填充材料。
代替玻璃纤维增强的聚砜等塑料(宇航器外部的面板、汽车外装的制动系统)。
LCP已经用于微波炉容器,可以耐高低温。LCP还可以做印刷电路板、人造卫星电子部件、喷气发动机零件:用于电子电气和汽车机械零件或部件;还可以用于医疗方面。
LCP可以加入高填充剂作为集成电路封装材料,以代替环氧树脂作线圈骨架的封装材料,以代替环氧树脂作线圈骨架的封装材料;作光纤电缆接头护头套和高强度元件;代替陶瓷作化工用分离塔中的填充材料等。LCP还可以与聚砜、PBT、聚酰胺等塑料共混制成合金,制件成型后机械强度高,用以代替玻璃纤维增强的聚砜等塑料,既可提高机械强度性能,又可提高使用强度及化学稳定性等。目前正在研究将LCP用于宇航器外部的面板、汽车外装的制动系统等。

Thermotropic LCP has the structure of all aromatic polyester andcopolyester. It also has a dense linear polymer chain structure,and the products formed have good unidirectional mechanicalproperties. Good high temperature performance (heat deformationtemperature is 121-355 ℃), good radiation resistance, hydrolysisresistance, weather resistance, chemical resistance, inherent flameretardancy, low smoke, high dimensional stability, low moistureabsorption, extremely low coefficient of linear expansion, highimpact strength and rigidity (compared with the same weight, thestrength of LCP is greater than that of steel, but the rigidity isonly 15% of that of steel). LCP is resistant to acids, solvents,hydrocarbons and other chemicals, and has a good barrier.
Liquid crystal aromatic polyester in liquid crystal statebecause its macromolecular chain is oriented, it has abnormalregular fiber structure, special performance, high productstrength, no less than metal and ceramics. The tensile strength andbending modulus can be more than 10 years of development of variousthermoplastic. With different monomers, the properties,processability and price of the liquid crystal polyester aredifferent. Different fillers selected and the amount of fillersadded also affect its performance
