Propertiesof PBT: It is a highly crystalline thermoplastic with a meltingpoint of 220 ~ 230 °C and a higher crystallization rate than PET.Advantages: Mechanical property, Diazepam tensile strength andtensile modulus and nylon similar, friction coefficient smallself-wetting, low water absorption, excellent electricalproperties, good dimensional stability, drug resistance, oilresistance excellent. DISADVANTAGES: LOW TG at 30 °C, H under load.D. T. At 60 °C, the impact strength is poor, generally reinforcedby glass fiber for FR-PBT to use. The physicochemical properties ofPBT are opalescent, translucent to opaque, crystallinethermoplastic polyester. With high heat resistance, toughness,fatigue resistance, self-lubrication, low friction coefficient,weather resistance, water absorption rate is only 0.1% , in wetenvironment still maintain a variety of physical propertiesincluding electrical properties, electrical insulation, but thevolume resistance, dielectric loss. Resistant to hot water, Alkali,acid, oil, but vulnerable to halogenated hydrocarbon erosion, poorresistance to hydrolysis, low temperature crystallization can berapid, good formability. The disadvantage is the notch impactstrength is low, molding shrinkage. Therefore, most of the glassfiber reinforced or inorganic filler modification, its tensilestrength, bending strength can be increased by more than one time,thermal deformation temperature is also greatly increased. It canwork at 140 °C for a long time, and the Longitudinal and transverseshrinkage of glass fiber reinforced products are not consistent,and the products are easy to warp.
