Generally speaking, the performance of Eva Resin depends onthe content of Vinyl Acetate in the molecular chain. The marketconsumption of Eva Resin in China was about 290 KT in 2001. Withthe development of shoe-making industry and the increase offunction film, the demand of Eva Resin in China will increase yearby year. 1 foamed shoe material is the most important applicationfield of Eva Resin in China. The content of Vinyl Acetate in EvaResin used in shoes is 15% ~ 22% . Eva Resin blended foamedproducts are widely used in the sole and interior materials ofmedium and high grade travel shoes, mountaineering shoes, slippersand sandals because of their softness, good elasticity and chemicalcorrosion resistance. In addition, the material is also used in thefield of sound insulation boards, gymnastic mats and sealingmaterials. Our country Guangdong Shunde, Zhongshan, FujianJinjiang, and Zhejiang Wenzhou are the main productionbase of our country shoe industry, consume a large number of EVAresin products every year. In 1999, about 150 kt of Eva Resin wasconsumed in the field of foamed shoe materials and shockabsorption. The main use of EVA film is to produce functionalplastic film.
