聚甲醛树脂在分解时会产生气体，主要是甲醛。当干燥或熔化树脂并有气体产生时，要避免接触皮肤和眼睛，也不要呼吸上述气体。不要接触热的树脂。当进行树脂干燥和熔化时，需要进行局部通风并穿戴防化学品手套,化学安全眼镜等。一旦出现紧急情况时，请拨打以下电话:

燃烧性能
由于TENAC™(铁耐克)和TENAC™-C(铁耐克-C)是易燃品，在处理和储存时，请将它们保持远离热源，火花和火焰。发生着火时，通过热分解和燃烧可能会产生刺激性的和剧毒的气体。应当使用水或泡沫灭火剂作为灭火介质。
处理
按照有关规范在具有适当装备的焚烧炉里焚烧，或者予以掩埋。任何处理实践都必须符合地方和国家的法律和规则(关于具体的规则，请联系地方或州环境机关)。在焚烧过程中，可能会产生刺激性和剧毒的气体。不可倾倒在下水道中,地面上或任何介体中。
储存
保持远离火焰和热源。要避免出现袋子破损，撕裂和触水。要保证稳固,安全的袋子装载和堆叠。
注塑
当聚甲醛处于230ºC(446ºF)以上温度时，或当熔融的聚合物接触到强酸，氧化剂或聚氯乙烯时，TENAC™(铁耐克)会发生分解。
当聚合物处于250ºC(482ºF)以上温度中时，或当熔融的聚合物接触到强酸，氧化剂或聚氯乙烯时，TENAC™-C(铁耐克-C)会发生分解。
当有小粒溢出到工作区域时，应当立即予以清除，以防滑倒。
