SABIC® HDPE B5429 is a medium molecular weight high densitypolyethylene copolymer. It is typically used for blow mouldingbottles of small sizes. SABIC® HDPE B5429 offers a very goodcombination of toughness, stress cracking resistance (ESCR), loadbearing strength and processability characteristics.
Typical applications
SABIC® HDPE B5429 is classified as a multipurpose blow mouldinggrade. It may be blow moulded into containers for household andindustrial chemicals (e.g. detergents, bleach, fabric softeners,solvents, paints, etc.), automotive supplies, foodstuffs,toiletries and cosmetics. It is typically also used for otherhollow thin-walled parts and profile extrusions.
Processing conditions
SABIC® HDPE B5429 has been run on the latest high speed blowmoulding machines at high production rates to produce articles ofvery good quality. Moulded parts exhibit very good surfaceappearance. The advised melt temperature for this grade is between165 and 215°C.
This product is not intended for and must not be used in anypharmaceutical/medical applications.
