POE 3000--As a new type of high-end plastic raw material, POEplays an increasingly important role in industrial production.Since the technology of preparing thermoplastic elastomers byautomatic vulcanization was put forward by A.N. Gessler and otherscholars in 1962, its rapid development has attracted wideattention. The technology was further developed by Fisher [2] ofUniroyal Corporation and Professor A.Y. Coran of Akron Universityin the 1983s. Because of the special phase structure formed bydynamic vulcanization, the elastomer has the advantages of bothplastics and thermosetting rubber: the continuous phase in theelastomer provides excellent processing performance, while therubber particles as dispersed phase make the material have theunique high elasticity of rubber. Simple dynamic vulcanizationprocess also saves a lot of manpower and energy resources. Itsproducts are widely used in various sealing materials, hoses,automotive accessories, shoes, wires and cables, civil constructionand household appliances and other fields.

POE采用溶液法聚合工艺生产的,其中聚乙烯链结晶区(树脂相)起物理交联点的作用,一定量的辛烯的引入削弱了聚乙烯链的结晶区,形成了呈现橡胶弹性的无定型区(橡胶相)。聚合物的微观结构决定其宏观性能,与传统聚合方法制备的聚合物相比,一方面它有很窄的相对分子质量分布和短支链,具有优异的物理机械性能(高弹性、高强度、高伸长率)和良好的低温性能;又由于其分子链是饱和的,所含叔碳原子相对较少,具有优异的耐热老化和抗紫外线性能;窄的相对分子质量分布使材料在注射和挤出过程中不易产生挠曲。另一方面,限定几何构型催化剂技术(CGCT)可以控制在聚合物线型短支链支化结构中引入长支链,从而改善了聚合物的加工流变性能,还可以提高材料的透明度。
