This new product-line is designed to meetthe needs of converters seeking value-added solutions to theirdrying re of copolyesters. Eastman?s copolyesters arehighly valued for their excellent balance of properties such assuperior aesthetics, impact strength, and chemical resistance.These properties can be optimally realized when the resins areproperly dehydrated in accordance to recommended drying conditionsand equipment.
Recognizing this value, Eastman conceived Drystar™ copolyestersto allow converters with limited access to desiccant dryers toachieve these optimizations. In addition, some converters withdesiccant dryers may still find Drystar™ copolyesters value-addingto attain production flexibility and cost saving by removing thedrying process prior to injection molding, profile extruding, orextrusion blow molding copolyesters. The initial launch comprisesof the commercialization of four grades of Drystar™ copolyestersand Eastman has on-going program to extend this strategicproduct-line in the future.
