聚碳酸酯无色透明,耐热,抗冲击,阻燃BI级,在普通使用温度内都有良好的机械性能。同性能接近聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯相比,聚碳酸酯的耐冲击性能好,折射,加工性能好,不需要添加剂就具有UL94V-2级阻燃性能。但是聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯相对聚碳酸酯较低,并可通过本体聚合的方法生产大型的器件。
材料的性是相对的,把ABS材料与PC材料做比较的话,那就是PC材料性比较好。但是相对于大部分的塑胶材料来看,聚碳酸酯的性是比较差的,处于中下水平,所以一些用于易磨损用途的聚碳酸酯器件需要对表面进行特殊处理。
Polycarbonate is colorless, transparent, heat-resistant, impactresistant and flame-retardant. It has good mechanical properties atordinary service temperature. Compared with polymethylmethacrylate,polycarbonate has good impact resistance, high refractive index andgood processability. It has UL94 V-2 flame retardant withoutadditives. However, the price of polymethylmethacrylate is lowerthan that of polycarbonate, and large devices can be produced bybulk polymerization.
The wear resistance of materials is relative. If ABS materialsare compared with PC materials, PC materials have better wearresistance. However, compared with most plastic materials, the wearresistance of polycarbonate is relatively poor, which is at themiddle and lower level. Therefore, some polycarbonate devices usedfor wear-resistant applications need special surface treatment.
